SOLILOQUY, an original watercolour painting, is a compelling rendering of the mighty pine tree. The artist has composed the image of the iconic tree on yupo paper with ink and watercolour, creating movement within the branches. A bold and graphic piece that will set the tone in any room, whether at home, in the office or at the cottage or cabin. The generous framing, including a thin black mat within two white mats, anchors the piece and mirrors and black aluminum frame.
Image Size: 20" x 26", Framed Size: 24 1/2" x 32 1/2". Professionally framed with triple archival matting and black frame. Available at Cedar Lake Studios, 27 Ainslie St. N. Cambridge, Ontario.
The Artist: Tiina Price, a Blair Village, Ontario artist has been painting professionally for over 15 years. “Painting watercolours allows the nuances of nature to unfold. I am continually intrigued by the play of light on water, the shadows in foliage, the changeability of skies and the vibrancy or subtlety of colour. As a medium, watercolour permits me to experiment capturing transparency and form. My paintings celebrate not only the energy and vitality of life, but its serenity and harmony.” Tiina’s work depicts a range of subjects including landscape, still life, abstraction and portraiture, and has won a number of awards.
