This gorgeous horse looks like it is captured mid-stride, and is aptly named GALLOPING HORSE. Cast from the artist's original detailed sculpture done in soft clay, and then made into a mold to cast the permanent piece. Made in hydro-stone, designed specifically for casting sculptures, each piece shows the incredible detail of the original sculpture. Once the piece is dry, the artist hand-paints it, in this case in a dark contemporary finish, to create the finished amazingly detailed work of art. Jackelyn's horses are part of a limited edition of just 25, and are each numbered and signed.
Size: 8 1/2" x 12 1/2", Framed to 10" x 14" ready to be hung. Due to the nature of this piece it is available in the gallery only (27 Ainslie St. N. Cambridge, ON). Please email info@cedarlake.ca for special arrangements and cost for shipping or delivery.
Jackelyn Anderson, an Ayr, Ontario-area sculptor, has always had a passion for sculpting, and has been honing her craft for almost 30 years. Jackelyn worked for several companies including Seagull Pewter, Robert Hall Originals, and Chelsea International, designing and sculpting jewelry, home decor and souvenirs. While at Seagull Pewter she sculpted pieces for Disney, Peanuts, and DC Comics.
A few years ago, Jackelyn decided to go out on her own and create art that reflects her love of nature, animals and renaissance art. She enjoys turning these interests into sculptures. created out of sculpture-quality gypsum cement. While she still does freelance sculpting jobs, she is now able to fulfill a part of her that was missing when she was working for others. “I love being creative and sculpting…to do what I am best at, and what makes me happy”.
