Collection: Annie Lajeunesse
Annie Lajeunesse, is a Quebec artist, whose creativity was sparked at an early age by her grandfather, a woodworker. As a toddler, Annie started following her grandfather, and over the years she learned all his tricks of the trade. She first developed her own art with the creation of hand-painted wooden signs. After a friend’s grandfather requested that she create and paint designs for each of his children on his handcrafted paddles, Annie was inspired to pursue this unique art form. Further research led her to the discovery that the hand-painted paddle is directly derived from the collective heritage of this country. And so began her new adventure! Annie’s passion for physical, hands-on work is her true calling and the legacy of her artistic family. Curious by nature, she continues to learn new techniques and to develop her work. Her extraordinary paddles are becoming known across North America.
