This larger-scale framed original watercolour is a compelling rendering of the scenes that Canadians love, and visitors expect. This work of the rocky shores of the Canadian Shield, along with the variety of northern species of trees along the shorelines will remind you of the splendor and stillness of Ontario's many lakes. Every aspect of this painting, from the light in the sky, to the treed land, to the reflection in the water, showcases the talent of this artist's use of colour in this very exacting medium. The artist is often kayaking through these waters, and so interestingly the painting is often from the perspective of the viewer being on the water.

This piece will work beautifully above a small sofa, bed, dresser or console. Enjoy the work of this award-winning artist, and feel like you are standing at the shore all year long.

Image Size: 36" x 24", Framed Size: 43.25" x 31.5". Professionally framed with triple archival mat and black frame, ready to hang in your space.

Available for delivery only to Cambridge, Dundas, Stratford, Waterloo, and surrounding areas. Fee applies. If on arrival, the painting does not suit, a refund, less $95 restocking fee will be processed.

The Artist: Tiina Price, a Blair Village, Ontario artist has been painting professionally for over 15 years. Educated at Queen’s University, the University of Waterloo and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, Tiina has always had a love of art and believes in the necessary and magical connection between hand, head and heart. Her travels to northern Ontario and Europe inspire her work.

“Painting watercolours allows the nuances of nature to unfold. I am continually intrigued by the play of light on water, the shadows in foliage, the changeability of skies and the vibrancy or subtlety of colour. As a medium, watercolour permits me to experiment capturing transparency and form. My paintings celebrate not only the energy and vitality of life, but its serenity and harmony.” Tiina’s work depicts a range of subjects including landscape, still life, abstraction and portraiture, and has won a number of awards.
