Framed Original Watercolour - SPIRITLANDS
SPIRIT LANDS, an original watercolour painting is captivating both in the artistry of its rendering and in the beauty of an iconic Canadian landscape. You can feel that the artist has spend countless days amongst the trees and rocky shorelines of Ontario's cottage country, understanding the colours and reflections on the water. She truly loves the subject that the Group of Seven found so appealing that they created a new style of painting to express the ruggedness of the landscape. Long before the groups travels in the early 1900s, the indigenous peoples understood and respected the spirit of these lands. This painting is unframed so that you can frame it to suit your taste. SACRED PLACES, painted at the same time would be stunning hung along side SPIRIT LANDS.

“Painting watercolours allows the nuances of nature to unfold. I am continually intrigued by the play of light on water, the shadows in foliage, the changeability of skies and the vibrancy or subtlety of colour. As a medium, watercolour permits me to experiment capturing transparency and form. My paintings celebrate not only the energy and vitality of life, but its serenity and harmony.” Tiina’s work depicts a range of subjects including landscape, still life, abstraction and portraiture, and has won a number of awards.
