Wood-turned Boxes with Lids

Size: Walnut & Black Maple 2 5/8" diameter x 4" tall,  Maple with Paduak lit 2/1/2" (with handle), 3 1/2" in diameter.

The Artist/Designer: Bob Gunther, a London, Ontario artist is interested in his experiences, meditative and mindful as he explores the way each piece of wood expresses its individuality in the tiniest of details – the variation of grain, the variation of colour, of contrast, of texture – requiring him to be intrinsically present to ensure that the detail is not missed. Bob uses regional and exotic woods, to create stunning bowls, mortar and pestles, and other beautiful and functional items.
